I have a very small list of models, pretty much painted up. I'm wondering what to add next. Haven't decided on vanilla vs sectorial, either.

Here's what I have:

3 Alguacils (starter box)
Mobile Brigada (combi)
Intruder (combi)
Zero (combi)
Wildcat (Spitfire)

Just looking to play casual games.

What should I get next in order to grow the list?

Bandit, Alguacil Hacker (and box if you go for sectorial play) or Zero Hacker, Intruder HMG, Tomcats, Spektr, Jaguars.

Something something Remote.. (whichever you fancy)

I'd consider the Brigada box. It also looks awesome!

Jaguars seem pretty cool, too!

Do I really need a bunch of Brigadas, though?

Purely on aesthetics, I'd say... a Gecko and the Alguacil box to round out a link team.

Did they redo the Tomcats yet? Those badly need a resculpt.

Nope, they boxed them, with a Tomcat Doctor as a new sculpt. Engineer and D.E.P are still Human Sphere sculpts. Small chance they'll see a resculpt soon.

And the box contains a Pizza Cat.

Brigada's are amazing models, and HI in N3 became a different tool to use than in 2nd Ed. But if you don't want them, don't go for them!

Geckos and Alguacil both can form linkteams now, Duo or regular link (last evening news from BoW)

Guessing you're talking about a HI link.. HI became faster (4-4 instead 4-2), and more affordable. Not saying a HI link + 2 Geckos is a good way to go, but HI link with some other extra's is not unheard of anymore.

I'd go for a box of Jaguars and an Intruder HMG.

A box of Jaguars and someone to proxy for the 5th Jaguar (I actually got 2 more Jaguars for that purpose, including a doubler for the Panzerfaust, I just intend to change his head to avoid repetition...). They are excellent - fast, aggressive and not afraid to settle things up close & personal.
