Aleph Toolbox (Android)

interface takes a little bit of getting used to, but it runs fast and light on my Samsung Galaxy SII. Love the army builder with one exception, you have to exceed 10 models to make a second combat group, though you can move units freely between them once you exceed that limit. when it comes to playing the game, being able to take a pic of the battlefield and place INFIL and AD2 prior to battle is a good thing. no dice roller, but you can designate units as unconscious and it will calculate your loss percentage (for those of you who do not like math). Ranges are displayed in a colourful manner, with range in inches(or cm if you are so inclined) and the number you need to roll displayed as well.

as i said in the beginning, <3. It also runs much faster than infinity pool in my phone's firefox browser. (AT does not run in the browser, its it's own app) As far as i can tell, the app is totally up to date.

if anyone has any experiences with the other versions (ie iOS) of Aleph Toolbox, please feel free to share them.

I use this on my pc at home (chrome browser app) and my google 7" tablet (running jellybean ).
The datafile storage IP address is the same for both (you can alter it to suit this purpose - so it will share from one platform to the other).

It runs fine on my low-spec tablet, so a faster android based tab should be even better.

I agree that IA is a great program. I don't agree with how it's no longer supported on the iOS. There have been no updates to the program for a long time now (before Dire Foes), and no support in sight due to MayaNet or w/e it's called being "the" infinity app for iOS. Problem for me is that MayaNet is only available for iPad. I don't own an iPad.

I love use IA on my computer, but can't quite agree with it on my iPhone. It's workable, but needs an update that can't currently happen on iOS.

You need to check out OPS:Infinity

OPS:Infinity is workable for list building so long as you know special skills/equipment for the models in question. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any sort of wiki access or other such way to see range bands/rules without access to the internet, which is a shame.

I see it being useful, but not particularly so.

I love aleph toolbox. So much fun features... I think I recall read somewhere how to use that "offline". Does any of you know how that works? IIrc it was something about dranging some file from the cache. But I haven't been able to figure that out...

I use the Aleph app on my cell phone and it works just fine when I'm not online.

There isn't one.

You can install the incognito browser app, though - which WILL run it.

I have a windows 7.5 phone and this was my solution.
However, the 4.5" screen doesn't make it easy - which is why I use the 7" tablet (android)

Has there been any chatter about updating to N3?

I know there was a sort of "preview" that had the currently released profiles in a crude interface.

It's progressing. It's been updated twice since I first found the link. The army list is no longer floating, it's above the unit selectors.
