When Worlds Collide

Well hello there, Data Sphere-ers. Data Sphere-ites? Sphere-oids?

Ahem. Gentlemen.

For the interested, I've re-posted a fixed-up version of a campaign we ran a couple of years ago, When Worlds Collide. Rules have been tightened up a bit, typos fixed, and it's been prettied up a tad.

It's really a campaign framework with a few additional rules to add a reputation system into the game, tracking the balance of your faction's civilian outreach as you scramble for limited resources and try to meet your leaders' shadowy goals without tipping the whole of the human sphere into total war.

Or, you are an alien military who is down to beat face. Your call.

Other elements added to gameplay include security cameras, trade deals, direct civilian control, and more!

A set of sample missions is included in the campaign pack as well as all the print and play tokens and cards needed to track what is going on. It is currently written to include only one player per faction (Tohaa is not included, sorry), though an updated version with multiple faction campaign cards and sectorial goals is in the works! Vector graphic files for tokens are available upon request.

Anyhow, download is here! Thanks for looking!

Really nice work on this. I'm not interested in organizing something this big right now, so I doubt I'll get a chance to play it, but it certainly looks like it would be a fun campaign to be a part off.

Out of curiosity, do you have a specific idea on where to get the cool keychain tokens? They appear to be custom made. (Perhaps it's in the "don't read if you're not an Organizer section...I didn't read that part. :D )

A set of printable graphics is included in the PDF, and I can give any vector graphic files over to any organizer that wants to have some cut. I had mine done through Raven at Advanced Deployment, but any local laser cutter will do.

We've player it and I've found the missions, civilian rules and reputation rules being very good and funny ;)

I must say, thought, that I think faction objectives ain't that well balanced (some are quite difficult, while some are quite easier . . and some rely more on luck than skills) . .

Well, glad to hear that you had fun with it! A second version that we're still working on will have a multiple faction goals and abilities and better support for sectorals so that multiple players can play the same factions and keep hidden what their goals are over multiple plays.
