Double posts

It would be nice if the system already discarded those posts that are the exact copy of the previous in the same thread. It seems some systems or people have issues with that, and requiring mods to do the clean up seems silly if the software can do it.

IIRC there should be an option to delete your own post, as long as it's the last in the thread. Is it on?

And if not, just led the moderators know.

I do cleaning like removing double posts on a routine basis wherever I meet these.

Yes, the option about deleting is there as you said, only for last post, and works, just tested it. But people must notice the double post in time and know about the feature.

Just wondering if there was such option (there is an addon, no idea if still needed or now integrated in phpBB) and prefer when things don't require wasting someone's time.

Not as far as I know.

I've been on boards using similar software where they implemented a 15 second posting limit between posts to avoid spammers, both from bots and from double posting.

So that could be an option?

I hope not. I find flood protection very offensive to my posting habits XD
