Ladies, Gentlemen and denizens of Bakunin

, I'd like to ask you for feedback regarding the forum - and especially the blog.
Currently, the blog team has managed to meet the goal set up this fall: we publish 3 articles a week. Well, most of the time. However, we don't receive much feedback on whether you like these, or not.
What could we do to make these better?
What would you like to read about?*
* keep in mind we're not a part of the CB in any way, so we don't get sneak peeks, early news and the like from Corvus Belli.

I really liked your article on cardboard houses. Very useful. We should do more DIY terrain articles.

Once I'm done with parts #4 and #5, I may consider taking requests / asking for ideas, then.
For now, this is about making generic terrain to fill a table and make it fit to play Infinity.

Any of those you don't like?

I really like the previews, reviews, and event coverage. Please keep up the good work.
The Faction Focus posts are ok. They are even great for a new player or someone looking to jump into the game. They give plenty of background flavor and some ideas on what they can do as a faction.
I'd like to see some more posts on tactica or lessons learned for experienced players. Taking apart specific scenarios and give some sugestions and report back with how those sugestions worked for the author. Dont just give us some good ideas try them out and tell us how it worked out.
I use my Nomads and JSA differently than others - but I'm stuck in my meta. I'd like to see how some of the more experienced players use Aragoto Bikes - where they should work well, scenarios they should be aware of (good or bad), how using them has worked out (funny moments, total failures, brilliant success), tips on getting the most out of them.

We were planning on tactica and lessons, probably focussing on many individual units too. With N3 coming, a lot was thrown out the window until further notice.

An example is the Starting With... -series, which came to a hold soon after we learnt everything was going to be revalued/recosted. I hope N3 will arrive soon, and allow us to restart a couple of series and start with some in-depth articles on tactics.

I really like the articles and wish to see more of them. The tactics sections aren't really tactics, but rather than a unit overview with fluff. However, I'm ok with that, and reading the fluff is still time well spent. Especially for those who only possess the e-rules (no fluff), it's good source material.
There are a few sections that are blank, such as 'Painting Tips'. Having tips is great, but if it can't get filled (which is ok too), it's probably worth deleting the section - nothing irks me like an empty page.
The ammo articles were a good read, as well as the DIY terrain. I'm currently working on a laser cut deal, so it's not for me, but I still enjoyed seeing the process and results.
All and all, good stuff. Only thing I'd like to see is a little more in depth articles factions/tactics/common 'ploys' etc (as mentioned by Scorch).
Overall 4/5.

I'd be happy to do some painting tips/tuts from time to time

Re the tactica, I'd quite like some small focused sections on specific skills/rules - such as Camo, Engineers, Mines, Repeaters, E/M Ammo, etc. This way it's not faction/unit specific and can be relevant to all players (depending on skill level, though the tactica could be classified as basic/advanced perhaps)
Of course, best wait for N3* to do rules-based stuff.
* always wondered: what does the 'N' stand for?

Yes, I like the articles as well.
Reviews, techniques, tactics, and previews are all welcome!
As a relative beginner, I'd like to see some material on concepts of list building.

When we all have had a look at N3!

Right now, all we write on tactics could be useless in a week or two!

Which is, actually, the reason why tactical articles- and a lot of tactical advice on the forum - is mainly on hold for the last 3 months...

I think you are doing a brilliant job. If the number of articles per week is too much, then please reduce the frequency as long as you don't actually stop. I have often considered submitting an article, but am unsure if you want anything from the public. But so, then please let me know what you want to hear about from the outside.

We already have a couple of articles 'from the public'. Thoughts on Tohaa for example isn't done by any of our team.
We would love to publish some batreps with good quality photos, for example. And will be looking for people's view on the game after N3 is released. Events, your own mission systems, campaigns, DIY terrain, anything goes!
Only thing we look at is certain quality on grammar, but most of it will be fixed during editing stage.

Is there anything in the Data Sphere besides the forum?

I'm joking

I mainly access DS with my 2.5" Android phone and mainly during 5-10 minutes brakes on the work. Articles for me are to large to keep in mind theirs thought.
Anyhow, regular updated blog is all we need.
I want to see a series of articles dedicated to the process of starting Infinity group at any LGS. I've started to play Infinity nearly a year ago. For months I had only one opponent and no interest from local community. Then the interest erupted and overwhelmed me. Each month I have minimum one person interested in Infinity. Some of them are seasoned players, some are brand new to wargaming.
Now we have a dozen of players and are holding a tourney!
I don't have time to paint minis, I don't have time to train my tactic skills. All I do - I teach new players the basic rules. They call me experienced, but all I know are the rules and I sick at each game above 200 pts.
You know what, maybe it's time for me to share my experience in promoting the Game with DS community?

We've had someone who was planning to do that, although he hasn't really brought articles up yet.

Might be a good series, though!

I could even use something that could point me into some direction regarding building a community.

I'll certainly be writing articles on my experience of N3 and tactics evolution.
I've been meaning to write an Aragoto (or just Impetuous, in general) article, but held off due to the imminent reveal of N3 and the assured obsolescence of any tactics I wrote due to the revealed changes to Impetuous.
I'll try to keep up the tactics articles to once a month or so once I get some experience with N3.
