Just giving this to you if you want to use it. I have some designing ability, and felt like trying to contribute something to this great effort



It is already optimized for web, and I think it's the right format (170x1440). If you need it in another format, I'd be happy to oblige. I could put a lot more time into it, but I would need a green light to stray a lot more from the existing header.

Hexagons FTW!

I really like the colour scheme, the blue globes for threads/sections with new posts makes it very easy to see.

It was a collaboration, or a Combined order you could say... Can't take all the credit!

@BeatTheBeat. Definitely glad to have more creative talent on the boards, I like what you did too. Cool font!

Love the new globe icons, they need a background color adjustment though.

We'll also have sigs for use on other forums. Though it kind of makes me want to enable sigs on our forums, too.

Really like it! I'd personally like it to be wider (about 2x the width) but that's only the minority of people who A) are on 27" inch screens and B) care about the black space left by the not-wide-enough header, so like 0,2% of the forum's visitors I guess That said, just filling out the leftover space with more hexagons shouldn't be too hard.

Oh, and after looking at the header a bit more, perhaps either make the Infinity logo slightly bigger or decrease the spaces on either side of it?

Yup, you got it. Blue means something (forum and topic) is unread, while grey means read. The lil blue hex represents 'mine' as in you made a comment or it's your topic. The colored bars just indicate type, with red/orange meaning it's a hot topic.

"i" is an announcement while "!" indicates a sticky topic. A lil lock indicates the topic has been locked.

There were a LOT of icons. I felt great at the end of designing them...

The icons, the banner it all looks fantastic. I logged on this morning before I had my tea and though I logged onto the wrong forum. I thought this can't be my forum, it looks too good.
