I really wish people would stop picking on Yurij for perceived similarities. He did a couple of questionable items, and has since removed them.

I only have a stake in the discussion as my friend was the one who designed the tray I linked above for Tectonic Craft Studios.
By all means, the TerraCutter tray is a good tray and the addition of the box to the side is a useful feature.
My main purpose in pointing it out was as a word of caution only, not of warning or threat!
Yurij is a valued member of Data-Sphere and is welcome to share whatever he wants, granted that no one tells him to stop sharing something with reasonable grounds. But that's up to Yurij and the person taking offense.

I asked Yurij elsewhere but for everyone's information here.
He fully cuts from sprue so unlike say MAS you won't have to further cut the HDF to put you terrain together. Now I've not ordered from him but I've got both MAS and Zen Terrain and just as a functional guess I would say Yurij 's terrain is more like the later than the former which in my books is good!
Less trouble assembling and better for painting as you don't need to deal with wicking as much thanks to the laser selling most if not all of the HDF's cut open edges.

This creates difficulty in assembling the product.
I make parts completely ready for assembly and take over the job of their acquisition.

The only other maker I know that completely cuts parts free from the MDF is Impudent Mortal.
And I really need to get off my butt and buy a couple items from you, Yurij. Those acrylic business signs and your car, if it's still available.

Next time I buy mdf it will be from Terra cutter!

BPLaser, Zen Terrain and Fantasy Arc all full cut too.
Every one who fully cuts get my like/upvote I honestly hate cutting wood from sprue it alters everything about how it takes paint, looks and how likely you are to damage your terrain during building.

I tried to paint the house when they are completely disassembled. It looks very nice and neat. I advise everyone!

First thing I tell everyone especially after the post photos of fulling built and often GLUED terrain is IMHO you're painting it wrong if your painting it whole.

Well, there aren't any numbers on the parts, so construction can be trickier. I still haven't even started on the Impudent Mortal pool house, for example.

There is that but frankly numbers on sprue only go so far if your build isn't intuitive or the instructions aren't/or unclear its always going to be hard for the end user anyway.
The real issue is cut from sprue puts ALL of the onus on the cutter/machinery operator/store to account for every part and ensure it gets back for shipping. This adds cost to production in both time on laser and time for labour to pick and pack.
The customer pays for this service but it makes a HUGE difference because your tolerances are right and the MDF/HDF is sealed much better by the cutting of the laser than anything the end user could ever achieve.

Unfortunately little chance. This material is very expensive, I do not have high sales volumes that would recoup even a single sheet of glass Fluorescent.

That probably works better with the standard terrain layout of 9+4+scatter. Put one big building on each tile, one small building on each tile intersection, and then add scatter to taste.
