Looking for advice

Hi all. As an old gamer I have quite a collection of minis that I collected over the years. Many years ago I collected Confrontation Dirz faction and I have quite a few of them around that I haven't managed to sell yet.

One of the models I currently own is that of Ysis the Viper(2 copies). Here is an external link to the picture on CMoN that someone painted http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics12/img473108929bea7.jpg

As an Haqq Infinity player that currently doesn't have any funds available I was thinking of converting them into Mutts as something I would like to include in my lists but don't have models for and the models look Haqq enough.

I was wondering how would you go about converting these models into Mutts? I want to keep the helms as in my head they pump drugs into the user to make them feel brave/reckless(hence extremely impetuous) to fulfill their mission.
Any idea, advice and help is more than welcome.

If you have any skill with green stuff, I'd suggest some wraps around the top and back of the helmet, that and some firearms would be where I would start.

Converting OOP confrontation minis?!?

HERESY!!! Go flog them on evilbay or something.

If you're bound and determined to convert one (I wouldn't want to convert both, it's a beautiful model as-is), there are some older models that had a separate Haqq rifle. I think the Fiday has a loose rifle in the blister, not sure about others.

Then I'd sculpt a turban or shemagh as a bare minimum.

That would make a pretty good Hassassin as is, but if you feel like being thorough then you could do a weapon swap to something more "Haqqislam."

So from your responses I take it that nobody would convert them to Muttawiah if they didn't have to but use them as is? Would you have any problem playing against such Mutts?

@Section9

I'm trying to get rid of the remaining Confrontation stuff on Bartertown but I still have around 40% left. I even put a sweet deal if someone would take the rest of the models of my hands but I have no luck getting rid of them.

Proxying is legal in Infinity (especially in friendly games). Just make it clear what is what, perhaps even label models around the base with a little cylindrical paper if you really proxy a load of models. :) There is nothing wrong with that, and I'd play against you if you were in my local group.
I'd rather have fun playing the game, than going purist on your minis.

The base model looks more like a Fiday to me.

The base model does look more like a Fiday and my first thought was to use them as such. But I already own 2 Fidays but own no Mutts hence this thread :)

I'm also toying with the idea of perhaps making the weapon lean against something. The reason being she's just preparing for the mission when something startled her.

That shouldn't ruin the model too much but add a modern weapon on the base to tie it in to the Infinity universe. What do you think?

That would work. I was originally picturing a slung weapon, but a rifle on the base would be easy enough.

She'd make a nice al-Djabel, if you don't have one already.
