Szczecin, Poland - Fenix battlegroup topic

This is the topic intended for communication with and among the Infinity players community that meets at Fenix gaming store Wrota gaming store in Szczecin, Poland.

We used an analogic thread back in the CB's forum, so I guess we're going to continue the practice here.
If you're an Infinity player (either now, or intend to start) in Szczecin, nearby towns, or just going to pay a visit here and would like a game, feel free to contact us here.

A word about the local community:
The active players are currently about half a dozen, semi-active or non-active (due to various life issues) make another half a dozen.
Currenlty actively represented armies are mainly PanO (Military Orders), with Yu Jing, Aleph, Nomads and Haqqislam having presence too. Currenlty, our Combined Army and Tohaa players are inactive, and for some curious reason we never had an Ariadna player locally.

The games played are mostly YAMS - for some reason, ITS didn't catch up here. The playstyle is mainly casual, with little competitivness.

We have in between of 1,5 to 2 tables worth of terrain on our own, and enough experienced players to pull an introductory / tutorial game for a newbie.
Proxies are encouraged, especially for novice players.

Typical gaming day is Thursday, about 16:00 (though personally I had to switch to Wenesdays, the same time), however, if agreed upon before, there should be no problem finding an opponent for a game on a different day and hour though Friday afternoons are generally avoided due to FNM being ran at the store. Recently, Saturday (both morning and afternoon) games became pretty popular, and Fridays are now an option, as the store doesn't hold FNMs.

registered and present :)
Errhile, ready for tomorrow?
I will get in with entire Bakunin force, so I can easily scrawl any points list.

Not yet, I have to write myself a list. Bah, haven't even decided on faction yet... perhaps I'll take Corregidor this time. I'm set with Starvogin for a 150pts game.

Damn I hate the Wenesdays... one day too early.

OK, so we're set on Wenesday, 150pts, and I bring 3 LI to be used as proxies by Starvogin, right?

Also, FYI I just peeled the masking tape off the building's 1st floor. Looks way better than before painting, but I'm sad to observe it doesn't look as good as I'd like.

The masking tape I got is, apart from everything else, of damn poor quality. The ground floor still needs one more colour... and I have to tape it around to do it.

Well, seems we'll be blaying each other for the rest of the summer, Ewok. Szorstki Fred can't make it on Wenesdays, and the rest of our active guys are on vacation - Stavrogin told me today he's out since next week, and will be back in September. Radek and Blaszko have gone for holiday some time ago already...

The rest of the old hands don't show up much in terms of activity...

Hi guys!

Stavrogin - nice meeting you yesterday, sorry for the rush, but Wednesdays... packed afternoon.
Errhile - we can play, I have some spare time during week and weekends. Alas not Wednesday, give me a time and date that suits you beside wednesday and we'll set something up :)

Well, that's the problem.

Mondays, I have time once so often. Pretty irregular schedule.
Tuesdays are off (training).
Wenesdays became my gaming days, but they do not suit your timetable :(
Thursdays, training.
Fridays, generally free, but due to FNM playing at Fenix is hardly a pleasure.
Saturdays.. are Saturdays. I can have some time arrange for a Saturday game once so often.
Sundays... I'm usually in the woods :P

...then it is Monday again.

As for Mondays - not any time soon. It's very fluid :(
Saturdays - 26th could do, but would be a tight fit, August 2nd is off already. August 9th should be fine.

Note - there was the idea of buying and splitting a box of Operation Icestorm. Or even two, if there are people interested. Let me remind you that all the models are resculpts.

For reference - it contains

PanO:
- 3 Fusiliers (combi), suitable for MO or NCA sectorials.
- 1 Nisse (multisniper), to be used in the future Svalarheima sectorial.
- 1 Akalis Sikh (combi), suitable for ASA.
- 1 ORC Troop, probably suitable for the future Varuna sectorial.
- 1 Father Knight, starter box exclusive. I assume he'd be apprpriate for MO sectorial.

Nomads:
- 3 Algulaciles (combi), for Corregidor sectorial.
- 1 Spektr (combi) to be used in the future Tunguska sectorial.
- 1 Grenzer (multisniper) to be used in the future Tunguska sectorial.
- 1 Mobile Brigada (multirifle) for Corregidor sectorial
- 1 Reverend Healer, starter box exclusive. She'll fit with Bakunin (a doctor linkable with the Moiras, as Bostria said on BoW).

Mercenaries:
- 1 Corporate Security Unit.

Also - faction dice:
- 3 PanO
- 3 Nomad

and:
Containers, paper buildings, paper map / board and so on. Cardboard tokens.

Personally, I'm interested in the CSU merc and maybe a Mobile Brigada, and I think it would be nice to keep the terrain & markers for the community.

Pricing - Wargamer has no pricing / preorder available for now, but since CB prices it at 90 EUR, I expect it to go at little under 400 PLN per set at Wargamer (that's before our discount). Taking miniatures only into account, that's about 27 PLN per model.

Anyone up for this Wednesday for 2 hrs between 4-6pm?
I can go up to 250 pts, maybe ITS scenario?

p.s. Icestorm is out of the question for me at the moment (financially)

I'm in, if you don't mind me proxying (Bahram, you know... the weather effectively keeps me from painting). Which ITS scenario are you expecting to play?
I sent out a question about Wenesday game to Ewok, dunno how it'll turn out.

As for Icestorm, OK - at the moment you're out. What about forseeable future? ;)

I wish I had brighter view of the foreseeable future myself.
Sure no problem, I might proxy something myself - ASA is just so short on specialists...
Maybe Antennae Field? It seems accessible enough.

Yup, seems nice (especially since I have a lot of shotguns in my Haqqislam).
But let's see the rules in full, before we decide wherher it is the greatest invention since sex was invented, or not necessarily ;)

indeed those ranged are very nice, grenades will be more useful and shotguns will be a viable option. Also those -3 for HMG and sniper will balance out weapons more IMHO. All in all looks great, I hope for more drastic close combat mechanics :)

Yup, that's pretty likely to happen, given that Father Knight is apparently geared towards CC, has two new skills not-yet described, but no trace of Martial Arts...

I took Wednesday off my regular activities so I'm up.
Can we play "SEIZE THE ANTENNAE" with 200 pts + specops?
